Iconic Brands

by Raylene Bartolacci April 07, 2016

I remember my first Nicole Miller Dress like it was yesterday, and trust me it wasn't. I was 12 and I was invited to a handful of Bat & Bar Mitzvahs. My mom took me to this dress store in Philadelphia, I picked out a few different for the handful I would attend, and I can honestly tell you I do not remember a thing about the other dresses. I do remember everything about my favorite, it was a silver lurex swing dress with silver daisies that had a rhinestone center on the collar, it was a Nicole Miller Dress. I loved it. I still to this day talk about that dress, which brings me to today.
The reason I tell that story is because when I started my own website, I never thought it would be attainable to carry such an iconic brand. If you did not know, I run this site on my own. The "we" is an "I", unless I call my mom and ask her opinion. I do it all on my own . . . I buy, pick, pack, write, design, shoot and I've even made the website on my own. Basically, everything you see is me. When I started I had no background in fashion besides shopping. . . LOL! Thankfully, I've made some really good friends along the way that have helped me and taught me the ins and outs that I am forever grateful for. Fashion and designers are similar to art and artist. They have an opinion and a vision for their designs and rightfully so. That being said, there have been many times that I have died for a line, reached out to carry it and got a flat N-O-! So when an email came into my inbox asking me if I would be interested in carrying, I felt like I had hit a milestone.
What I love about this brand is that there is something for every season and reason in life.
